Flourishes At Marvelous Magnolia.

Good afternoon, crafty blogger's.
I hope you are well?
Today we have a new challenge starting at Marvelous Magnolia and this time our challenge theme is
Flourishes.
Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are;
The Ribbon Girl
&
Tilda's Town

For this challenge I have made a Birthday card for my Mother who celebrated her Birthday yesterday.
My card features Gemini Tilda from the Zodiac 2014 Collection. Perfect for my Mum as her star sign is Gemini. The stamp is from Sirstampalot.

I die cut a Spellbinders floral oval with Neenah cardstock and stamped Gemini Tilda onto it with Memento rich cocoa ink.
I have coloured Gemini Tilda with Prismacolor pencils and inked the edges of the floral oval with Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink.
I placed a piece of cheese cloth behind the image.
I made the square card base with 300gsm white Conqueror card from Grafton Crafts.
The papers are called Pressed In Time from Lili Of The Valley.
I have distressed the edges of the papers with a Tim Holtz paper distresser and matted them onto white Conqueror cardstock. I inked the edges of the cardstock with tea dye disress ink.
The white doily is from Ebay and the pretty lace is from my local haberdashery shop.
The flat backed ivory pearl trim along the bottom of the card is from The Ribbon Girl and the large bark heart is from Live & Love Crafts.
I have painted white Gesso around the heart and cut out the letters to spell Mum using Pion design Grandmas Schoolbook from Live & Love Crafts.
The metal corner is from Live & Love Crafts and I have frantaged it with shabby white embossing enamel also from Live & Love Crafts.
The slender firs, heart swirl and lovely fence are all Magnolia Doohickey.
I have inked the edges of them with tea dye distress ink.
The butterflies are from Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics and the sentiment is from
Lili Of The Valley.
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white card with Memento rich cocoa ink and inked around the edges with tea dye distress ink. I pierced a couple of holes either side of the sentiment and tied some twine through them to make it look like a sign which is hung from the fence.

All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
These consist of a 35mm cream trellis rose, 20mm white roses, 15mm pale green roses, 10mm white & green roses and white lilies.
The vintage cream pearl pins are from Live & Love Crafts.

A close up of Gemini Tilda.
I have dotted their cheeks with a Inkssentials opaque white pen.

Inside the card is decorated with Pressed In Time paper and a Spellbinders floral oval.
